Alexandra Fernandez-Eden, RMT

It really excites me to be able to prioritize women’s health and wellbeing in my practice. Women are expected to carry so much for so many, so it’s my pleasure to create space for you to put it all down – even if just for an hour. Whether that be to alleviate stress, help rehab an injury, or ease the aches and pains of pregnancy, I look forward to meeting each patient where they’re at. My goal as a therapist is to share my knowledge transparently with you so that you feel empowered to make the best choices for you and your body. I’m passionate about how to help you feel your best, and I look forward to connecting soon.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some general FAQs about massage therapy that might be relevant for West End Women’s Health:

How long of a session should I book.

60-75 mins: For the first visit I like to ask lots of questions to hone in on what you need via my assessment and intake, as well as leave room for conversations about next steps, remedial exercise, and or self care recommendations following the treatment.

How can massage help with digestion?

Abdominal massage is very helpful with the stimulation of the involuntary contractions if the intestines called peristalsis – these contractions gently help get things moving, and can also help relieve adhesions (tissues gelling together) from inflammation of the gut or reproductive organs

What does intraoral TMJ treatment entail?

Most of the structures that control/affect the jaw can only be accessed fully by going inside the mouth. This would be done very gently while gloves are worn, and a system of non-verbal communication is established to be sure that patient and therapist can communicate effectively. Work would be done both outside and inside the mouth
