Rebecca Jivcoff, R.Ac

Registered Acupuncturist

Dedicated to supporting others on their health journeys, Rebecca Jivcoff, R. Ac, focuses on addressing the root causes of health challenges and tailors treatments to the changing states of each person’s body—during teen development, menstrual phases, pregnancy, postpartum, and menopause. Her focus primarily in women’s health and menstruation naturally led to reproductive support and fertility enhancement where she utilizes natural medicine as stand-alone treatments and safely integrates them into modern approaches such as BHRT, IVF, IUI, operations, and post-C-section care. Rebecca believes in fostering the complete individual and educating patients to help them be active participants in reaching desired outcomes.

Rebecca’s challenges in her teens with severe menstrual pain and PMS, digestive issues and food sensitivities, cystic acne, and mood dysregulation led her to explore natural remedies after achieving minimal results from conventional medicine. At 17, she began exploring the connectedness of mind, body, emotions, hormones, food, and lifestyle in relation to wellness and then received treatment from a Chinese medicine practitioner and acupuncturist, noticing her ailments healing simultaneously. Curious about how the medicine worked—particularly in relation to the complexities of women’s health—she self-studied acupuncture and Chinese medical theories, later graduating from Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine Academy and is grateful to learn from practitioners rooted in the culture and teachings of traditional Chinese medicine, whose practices and lifestyle suggestions are increasingly proving beneficial in the Western world.

How It Works

Step 1

The process begins with a comprehensive intake to gain a thorough understanding of your current health and goals. Initial appointments include an introductory treatment.

Step 2

Personalized treatment plans are based on individual needs. Acupuncture is generally most beneficial when received within a condensed time-frame. For menstrual and fertility cases, working with one cycle (approximately one treatment a week for four weeks) allows us to understand how each individual’s body responds. For IVF and IUI cases, starting treatment prior to transfer helps prepare the body and increase success rates.

Step 3

The goal is to reach a place where your concerns are resolved – patients can return less frequently for maintenance or discontinue treatment altogether.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is acupuncture safe to receive throughout my cycle and pregnancy?

Yes – acupuncture can be safely and beneficially received throughout each phase of one’s menstrual cycle and into pregnancy. Techniques and approaches change based on cycle phase or trimester.

How does acupuncture treat Endometriosis, Adenomyosis, PCOS, and Uterine Fibroids?

Electroacupuncture is a strong tool for flushing stagnations and masses from reproductive organs in which most women notice a change in their urine and/or menstrual blood–a celebrated response. Working together with diet and lifestyle changes greatly optimizes results.

How does acupuncture benefit IVF/IUI transfers?

Preparing the body prior to transfer aids uterine health and overall constitution, creating a healthy environment for transfer, implantation, and conception. Working holistically helps aid a strong constitution and adequate nourishment for a healthy pregnancy.

Why am I sometimes tired after treatment?

Often patients feel extra tired during or post-treatment. This is a celebrated response as the body’s innate healing mechanisms peak during this relaxed state.
